What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
new york city, New york state

court date is febuary 25 this year. about 20 days away.
is it too late for discovery and such?

this is a civil matter where the original defualt judgment was vacated by a judge and a trial date was set for 2/25.

would it be too late for discovery motions at this time?

originally the plaintiff sued and won by default. defendant was able to get default judgment vacated
