I think that I am being subjected to disparate treatment pertaining to promotion at my workplace. I am a 43 year old white male that on many occasions over the past 2 &1/2 years, has been held to different standards of qualifications for the position in question than other people. Although I belong to a major Union, they have been inaffective in helping me resolve this problem. This is a Federal government contract in Alabama. Any suggestions on methods to follow to stop this practice would be appreciated.
