What is the name of your state Kentucky
My neighboor got addicted to pain killers pretty bad a little ways back. Well he started supporting his habit by helping his fellow addicts find their fix right. And the guy took his poor wife right down the same road with him. Ends up they get him on video, actually they get him doing it twice within a couple weeks. Whats weird is they at first only charge him with one count of trafficking, the let him take a plea and serve his time.
As soon as he gets out they hit him with the other video, this time they charge his now ex wife with complicity. Now I know this may not be double jeapordy but it does seem pretty dirty. These were not people getting rich here, actually these people needed help. And now since they split up they kind of got their lives together. They had the grand jury indict them though is what makes me think it may be kind fishy about the ethics of doing this. It seems they should have combined the cases all together instead of sitting on the old one just to throw at them after they start straightening up.
Do they have any hope of staying out of prison?
