12 Years ago i was still a bit wild, and got a dui and about a week later a driving under suspension, i never went to court on either one, we moved to florida and since that time alot has changed for me and i simply need to get my licence back, however these charges are still on my record as pending and i have warrants for them in Ohio.

I could not drink now even if i wanted to it would kill me , im disabled and over the next several years need 3 operations just to continue to live im on ssi and get 700 a month, thats it for income, i have a hole in my stomach, am a grandfather and my idea of a good time now is watching dancing with the stars on TV.

i need to get this cleared up so i can legally get back and forth to the doctor, and id like to be able to pick up my granddaughters at school so instead of waiting from 2:30pm in a after school program, until my daughter gets off at 5pm i can pick them up and bring them to my house, my wife is also disabled and gets 1200 a month so with all our bills and home payment, car , food ect... our funds are limited

How can or where can i go about getting these charges dismissed, one is in Akron, ohio and another in Wooster ohio.

i got out on a bond back then but never appeared.

I went to try to get licensed in Florida and was told this was still on or rather it had to be reinstated, i called the reinstatement center and they said i had to clear up the charges, then pay 750.00 to get it cleared up, well its going to be very hard to come up with just that amount let alone , going to ohio, or paying fines costs, attorney fees , it will never happen and i need my license.

are there forms somewhere i can down load , print and file to dismiss for little or no cost?

i wish i was as wise back then as i am now thats for sure.

if an attorney sees this and can help , since ive been disabled ive took free online classes and can build websites, just basic ones and would be willing to trade for any help.
Thanks
Claude Osborne

What makes you think you are eligible for a dismissal?

I'd suggest a lawyer (in OHIO, perhaps you can find one who covers both courts you are convicted in, I don't know how close they are together) to work out resolving the pending charges. You may end up having to go to court yourself. Prepare yourself for that eventuality.

If you are not further suspended, then you then need to do what the BMV told you to reinstate your Ohio privs (most likely the fee mentioned plus proof of insurance).

well this is my point I'm not only physically unable i don't have the funds to go to Ohio, and as far as the dismissal goes i don't know if i am eligible but if there is paper work i can file asking for that id like to do so

not sure what to tell you..

this should be a lesson for all SHOW UP for your court dates.. one way or another it would have been over and this would not be hunting you down today...

Thanks for this but im not sure what it means, i called the reinstatement place in ohio to see what i needed to do they said that i needed to contact Akron Court and i did and talked to the Clerk there, they in turn said it was active, then my brother whio is a Cleveland Police officer ran me and said the one in Wooster was also, i wish he had some pull maybe he could contact someone and get this done but he is in clevland and those are a bit out of cleveland, yes i agree it would have paid to have went to court when i was younger i would not be where i am right now, but when i was younger i usually didnt think, like i do now, time has taken its toll, well that and age and maturity, and of course health.
