Georgia - Is it legal for an executor to give himself his fee as desired, ie, in the form of stock certificates rather than payment in money as desired by heirs? When is the appropriate time to receive executor fees?

There may be some fees involved in selling the stock and the executor is willing to take the stock in lieu of cash. Also the stock could be in a privately held company and the executor wishes to retain the stock. Either way I don't see why the poster's shorts should be twisted.
