You can only delete a thread if you are the poster that started it, or are admin.

If it's one of your threads, simply click on "Edit" under your first post, and the very first selection will say "Delete" with a check box beside it. Put a check in the box, and click "Delete Now".

If it is your own thread, you may click on "edit" under your first post. Near the top, there is a box that asks if you wish to delete the post. Check and Click in that - by deleting your first post, you will delete your thread.
