What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan
Our friend, "Bill", is in the middle of a bitter divorce with "Sue" (she left him out of the blue for someone else). Sue is trying to get every last Penny from Bill. Bill is friends with another friend who is undocumented. The undocumented friend actually lived with Bill and Sue for years. He helped them financially. Bill opened up a stock account for the friend since he couldn't do it with his own information. Sue was aware of the friend's status, and she also benefitted from his financial help, too. Now "Sue" is calling the wife of the undocumented friend, and esentially threatening her by saying that if her undocumented husband doesn't convince 'Bill' to give her the money from the stock account that claims he hid (even though she knew darn well that money belonged to 'the friend') she will be forced to subpoena the undocumented friend (who lives clear on the other side of the country, and couldn't even physically get to the other state) to testify. Is that possible? I want to somehow help these folks. They don't have money, are the nicest possible people, but have been dragged into this horrible mess. Any suggestions or advice? Thank you, in advance!
