:) It is a short period of time that an inmate is released in the custody of
another approved person, usually within a short period of time before
the release date. You can look it up in a Law dictionary at a Library or
try the internet dictionaries. There are also State Law Libraries at some
of the State Universities that can answer your questions. A good place
to start would be the Prison in question since each one makes their own
policies regarding temporary release. The inmate will have to apply (fill
out an application) for a Furlow. Could be spelled furlough? ~Mary~
