I did something really dumb and trespassed on private property and started just messing around and stuff. Then was tempted to take something and decided to hide it behind the bush but after I hid it the cops came and let me go with a warning for trespassing but did not know about the bush part. If the owner sees it can they still charge me for attempted theft? the item seemed to be worth about 1k.
