What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MI
I'll try and keep this brief and simple.
I've been divorced for 10 years. We have joint custody. My ex lives 25 miles away - a 45 min drive - but works in town. Previously, we had always agreed upon a school that was convenient to both of us. Because of this, we have to apply for admission out-of-district. This fall, my oldest will be entering high school. The school my ex wants is even farther from me, but it is about halfway between our homes. The one I want is a bit closer to me, but it is not far from her workplace or her husband's. Additionally, I work from home.
So... am I wrong in thinking that the school that is actually in my district and closest to all of us during the school day is a better choice?
