What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TN

I have to respond to a discovery (Interrogatory/production of documents). The attorney I hired quoted me a reduced paralegal rate, but it turns out he does not have a paralegal and everything is being billed at his full rate which has driven costs way out of budget.

So to reduce cost I want to do whatever type of paralegal work myself (as in pasting my discovery answers) and have him do what he needs to do.

My question is: what format should my response to discover be in? Do I write responses on their interogatory form? I'm assuming not since answers have to be notorized.
