Joe’s doctor has declared him incompetent. At home, (never married living with brother) he has been able to help with paying for personal expenses and it hasn’t been necessary to use a durable power of attorney. When it becomes necessary, how is the POA used. For example, writing a check to pay the nursing home. What needs to be done at the bank and how is the check signed?
