We just told them that salesman assured us the vehicle had been inspected and everything was in proper working order. When a business person makes you a promise that something is a certain way, it should be that way. Anyway, they apologized for "not catching it", and we explained that their oversight should not be at our expense.Would you care to fill in the forum on how that decision came about , possibly helping out someone who stumbles upon this thread ?
To backtrack a little...we found 3 other lights out (on the steering wheel controls) at the same time as the dash lights. We were willing to pay the $140 to get those replaced since they were just a cosmetic issue and not related to driving safety. The lack of panel lights was clearly a safety concern at night.
Back to now... they have offered to pay the cost of the cluster and part of the steering wheel lights. Thanks again for your thoughts.
