I work for a Professional Services organization that is headquartered in Mesa, AZ. We have consultants that live in Connecticut and Texas. We travel all over the US for work and use our own credit cards for expenses. We submit expense reports but they do not get paid until AFTER 30 days after submission. This causes the employees to carry and be responsible for the interest that is accrued on our cards. Effectively, it is costing us money to work here. Is it legal for a company to not pay the interest and expect the employees to pay it? Is the law governed out of Arizona since that is where headquarters is or does it apply based on where the employee lives? It is not specified in our expense and travel policy about interest payments. Thanks! -Shannon
