Frankly, you have no idea if that account was opened under specific legal advice. There is no point in opening an account and then closing it - from a practical or legal standpoint.

As Ld noted - it is common to open a separate account once a decision to divorce has been made. You'd do well to open your own.

You'd also do well to establish a disability and if there is not a physical ailment that has resulted in disability, to start looking for a means of support. No matter his paycheck, if you're employable, the courts will expect you to obtain employment.

Employment will also provide you with an outlet to meet new people, help you focus on something other than your difficulty in accepting the upcoming divorce and certainly you should be working towards your future and improving your life as opposed to dwelling on the past or obsessing about a pittance being deposited into an inactive account.
