What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? IL

I have been following the Chicago teacher strike and there has been talk of a possible order from a Judge to end the strike and make the teachers go back to work. Under what legal theory can a Judge force people to work?

because they are the closest thing we have to God that gives us specific directives (well, at least since those couple of tablets he wrote awhile back)!!!

It probably has something to do with this:

"State law expressly prohibits the CTU from striking over non-economic issues, such as layoff and recall policies, teacher evaluations, class sizes and the length of the school day and year," the district said in a statement.
