What is the name of your state? KY

My ex-husband has decided to start seeing our son. In the divorce decree, I have full custody and he has supervised visitation.

Today is the first visit. My ex's mom is a wonderful person so I thought it would be okay for him and his mom to watch our son for today (no overnights; just day visits once a week). This way, there is a responsible person (his mom) there and his family gets to see our son.

Am I doing things correctly? My attorney stated there would not be someone from the courts to supervise the visitation. The divorce was final in 2003 and my attorney has since left the state. Thanks!
