I have recordings of my mother calling me a fat whore. She has also stated on several occasions that she was never my mother and she wishes that I was never born (recorded as well). Lastly, I have recordings of her suggesting I kill myself.

It's not going to get you anything. While calling children names isn't great parenting, it doesn't rise to "emotional abuse" on its own. When you turn 18, you can move out but you aren't going to be able to force them to give you anything that's not explicitly titled to you (real estate, certain investment/trust accounts).

Did you have your mother's consent to make these recordings?

I believe CA is a 2 party consent state.
