in MO, there are really no laws about emancipation?

a friend of mine who is 17 is considering emancipation, but is clueless aobut how to obtain it. her mother currently has custody, and her father is absent (often in jail for failure to pay child support), and the poor girl is frustrated with the amount of stress. she has a full time job and her own car. im sure she'd do well with a relative or roommate. but can she file a "proclamation of emancipation" of sorts?

There are three steps to becoming emancipated in Missouri:

First, get a full-time job.

(Post back when this happens and I will give you steps 2 and 3).
