I turned left where there was a no turning left sign that I didn't see. A cop gave me a ticket.

I contested it and have a court date next week. I am thinking of hiring an attorney. Do I have to personally appear in court to fight the ticket? Or is the attorney showing up for me enough?

Thanks for any advice.

You will have to be there. The judge and prosecution may have some question that only you, not your attorney, can answer.
