What were you possessing? Except for simple possession of small amounts (not for distribution) of marijuana, you a have a felony record and are not permitted to possess firearms.
Indication of drug use will bar you from a NH carry permit.

This past January I was pulled over and given a marijuana possession ticket. I went to court in February, where they reduced the class b misdemeanor to a violation.

I went to purchase a firearm and was denied after my background check. I have no other prior record, is there an amount of time I must wait to purchase a firearm? I read misdemeanor charges could lead to denials, and violations don't show.

Any information would be appreciated.
