What is the name of your state? Virginia

Is there any chance for someone who is not eligible for say a work permit to apply and actually get one? Could someone who EWI get discovered and deported by filing a form with the INS.

There are NO benefits available to your husband from inside the US, because of his EWI.
Please, please, visit the I-601 forum recommended to you! There ARE strategies available, and you do not have to be separated forever, or even all that long.

re: the work permit. He would only be eligible for that based on an Adjustment of Status application, which he is not eligible to make. There is NO way for him to get a benefit while still in the US.
