My first "win" was in a landlord/tenant matter while in law school. Obtained a $8,700 judgment after trial on the merits before a magistrate. Bad landlords in a college area make for easy targets. I understand that they have, since that time, refused to rent to law students.

Update Flabbergasted!

After trying forEVER to speak with my attorney... I get an update.

The adjuster is out till March 3rd.
But has offered 6,000 .

I am thinking my lawyer is an idiot! He is asking me what I want? I don't know what to expect... I came here remember?
He thinks this is low...
I said this is on top of the Medical right? He said no..
The Medical alone without loss of pay, or co-pays is 8000.00!!!
What is he thinking?
Well that is not my question. How could you all know that.
My question is They have to pay the Medical at least right? Even if I had my own insurance pay, My own insurance is going to want to be reimbursed...

He said that if they come back and offer money, that then he will go back and ask for what their REAL best offer is and then go from there.
I am flabbergasted.
I have people to pay back!
