What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA

Can a one time winning be included in child support. We just had our 3 year review a few months ago and nothing changed.

Went with some buddies of mine to a casino and won a significant amount. I then gave my daughters mom some extra money and when she inquired how I got it, I told her.

She is now wanting to increase my child support due to this winnings. The issue is, after taxes, giving her the amount I gave her (10% pre-tax), and paying off all my outstanding debt/student loans(was considering chapter 7 as of last year), and putting a little in a savings account, it will be basically gone.

My income earnings yearly will not change, except this one year and she said she can use my w-2 forms to increase. She honestly thinks I am trying to hide income by saying it was a "one time" winnings.

CA does not yet have a law that allows for CSED to seize casino winnings to pay past due support.

It's unlikely that your children's mother would have a leg to stand on on this basis alone.

and I am not behind on my child support. due to a glitch that after 1.5 years still hasn't been fixed, no matter how many times I try, they take 30% more each week out of my paycheck for child support. I am currently 9 weeks ahead of my child support and this will continue until the end of the year when they send me a refund check.

In my experience with gambling, one must go through a fair number of LOST dollars before they expereince win dollars. Betcha it took a lot of outlay over time before this "win" occurred. Over the long run, the house always wins more than the players do. If she pursues it, I'd add up my losses and ask have those run in the numbers as well. The odds are, you CANNOT repeat that income.

OOPS...No idea how I ended up there....

In any event, I didn't find any law that PA has it in place, though I did locate a feasibility study from 2007....
