When a collector identifies the credit card name/product as the original creditor name instead of identifying the true original creditor name which in this case is a bank, the collector has provided false, misleading information to the debtor. For example: A collector called Juniper MasterCard the original creditor when in fact the original creditor is Barclays Bank. Juniper MasterCard was Barclays Bank's product. Does this favor the debtor in any way when summoned to court on a credit card lawsuit?
