What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? nyc

Hello, I have a question. I was recently given a ticket for parking at the no standing zone. I just wanted to ask a couple questions involving this ticket:

1. I probably know the answer to this question, but I wanted to confirm: my car was about 10% in the "no standing" zone. Would this warrant a ticket? Will there be a way to fight it?

2. theoretically speaking, would it be a valid defense if I just parked at that same spot, except put car forward so that it is in the zone, and take some pictures, and say that the ticket was wrongly issued? The ticket wrote that I was 10ft from a certain street corner. What if I can prove that it was more than 10 ft, by images? How would this work in terms of fighting the ticket online?

I am pretty much aware that there is no way out of this ticket- I just wanted to see if there was any possibility and wanted to ask for advice. Thanks in advance.

So, your defense is an admission?

**A: a ticket is warranted if your vehicle was a 1/2 inch in the no standing zone. Sorry, you have no standing in the matter.

Absolutely.

2. theoretically speaking, would it be a valid defense...
Absolutely NOT.

In this case photographs would mean nothing.

Unless the ticket is defective I wouldn't count on a way out of this one.

yup

Hello all, thanks for the replies.

As I stated before, I wasn't holding out much hope that I can get out of it anyways- just wanted to see if anything was possible- after all, looking at the recent news, it seems the law is always open to interpretation, right? ;-) I guess i will try to get a lower fee but other than that not fight it.

The title of this thread is wrong. You didn't park "near" a no-standing zone. You parked IN a no-standing zone.
