I saw some space on the ride side and I pulled in there and stopped with my lights blinking.
Maybe the fact that in that area, where you originally had to double-park, that there was 40+ feet of free curb space should have raised a red flag. Along with any other indicators that it was a bus stop in addition to the red curb.

By the way, parking illegally with hazard lights on is like waving a big flag over your car and yelling "ticket me".
