What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? WA

I plan to get married and I make a considerable amount more than my partner. Additionally, she has a considerable higher amount of debt, albeit student loans, but debt nonetheless.

God forbid, if we were to get divorced, does that mean I would possess half of her debt and she would snatch up half of the extra money I make in addition to whatever assets I've already acquired (i.e. house)? If so, is there a way to avoid paying any alimony in the event of a divorce and keeping the house?

Thanks,

D
