What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? OHIO

When a property is sold for delinquent taxes are all the liens voided, or do IRS,and /or state tax liens still attach to the property? I have always thought that they remain.

We have a woman down at our county office that runs the sheriff sales that often gives out false legal advice ( although she has been admonished many times).

She claims that when a property is bought the mortgages must also be satisfied. That is news to me!(and I think erroneous).

Can someone point me to something irrefutable as to what liens are cleared by a sale for delinquent real estate taxes??

Thank-you!
