re: PLEASE HELP
What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? VA/DC area
Hey, great question.
I just asked an R.E. agent in VA the same question today. I'm keeping an eye on the rental market for my move in a couple months and this is a big concern for me. I'm even nervous about my current landlord.
I was informed that there really isn't much you can do other then move.
She even told me that in some cases you can even loose the deposit, because the landlord goes completely under and files bankruptcy.
It's a scary time to be a renter these days.
There might be some legal action, but even if you win would the landlord be able to pay out?
If you come across any good info please pass it on to me!! Thanks!!
