I need to find out the laws in PA that would possibly enable parents to remove a 17 and 1/2 yr old from the family home. Both parents are (completely and permanently) disabled and unable to care for the teen, the teen is a danger and a threat and has assaulted the parents in the past.
The teen is currently living at a friends after having left on his own. The parents have sought legal protection but the govt is not offering any real help.
The parents had sought a PFA order from the court but the court denied the application, apparently there was not enough gory details in the app (just mentioned teen-instigated assault required ER visit.) CPS has made vague threats about "abandonment" if the parents do not allow the teen back into the home.
What are the options? Do the parents have to acquiesce to allowing the teen back into the home? What might happen if they continue to refuse?
