What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA
An international student came to apply to rent for my rental property in CA.
He has a reference letter from his embassy stating the amount of financial support he receives from the embassy, and it is more than enough to pay for rent.
I've never rented to international students before - what kind of application checks can I do since the normal credit checks don't work for those that don't have SSN?
Also - what if they leave the country or don't pay the rent anymore? Are the notices for abandonment and evictions the same? And what if they've left the country - where can I serve the notice of abandonment to?
Thanks for your help!
