What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state?mass.i have been poa for one year. in event of death of friend what are my rights?will i still be poa or do i have to become conservator or guardian before his death. he is 73 and is in failing health.has no family except ex-wife.

Specifically, NO rights whatsoever.

The POA dies with the issuer and unless you are specifically named in his will as executor (and even then doubtful) you have no further duty.
