What is the name of your state? TEXAS

A repoed vehicle was sold at auction without informing the owner as required by federal and Texas state law. Now the deficiency amount is demanded. The bank and collection agency was informed of this illegal action by CRRR letter and they continue to ignore what they did.

What should one do?

When you say the former owner was not notified, do you mean that there was no notification of the time and place of the sale ?? Were any notices received AFTER the sale showing the deficiency plus all added fees ??

If they don't follow ALL the rules, they forfeit the right to collect a deficiency.

The former owner was only notified AFTER the vehicle was sold. Neither the time, date, location of the auction was provided before the auction.
