In California, if you put a Lis Pendence on real property and lose the subsequent case, is the plaintiff liable for legal/attorney fees to the defendent? I am almost certian this is true.

If so what is the Statue/Code?

RE: The case is Adverse Possession, where the plantiff has filed a really frivilous suit and doesn't even meet the bare minimum criteria--not by a long shot. I know about perhaps collecting for a frivilous suit but I was wondering specifically a law for Lis Pendence matters, is there a statude/code?

Thanks!
