What is the name of your state? NJ

If your credit report shows the OC(charged off) and the CA(balance due) and you settle with the CA. 30 days go by and you view your credit report: Credit report no longer shows the CA but still shows the OC(charged off)...Is this correct?

Yes. Chances are the debt was SOLD to the CA, meaning the OC washed it's hands of the account entirely. If the account is listed as 'sold or transferred' then there should be a ZERO balance showing.
