I can see where many would not believe the story. Store clerks, police, attorneys, judges. I am sure that they have all heard every rendition in the book. It could be possible, which brings in the requests made by the 18yo. Said that the security tapes would prove innocent but request for tapes was refused. Said fingerprinting the items themselves would prove innocent, no response about getting it done yet. The 17yo left message that she was "sorry for everything" but how would one go about proving that the voice on the message was the 17yo involved? Hard case, hard to believe story, 18yo adamant about innocence....but the prisons are full of the same adamant protestors.
