What is the name of your state?GA

Here is a quote:
A little research on the web has proved our dear panzertanker to be a phony MD and phony pain specialist. Be careful listening to and following his error-filled lead.

As this is untrue and an attack on my character, what are my recourses?

Todd,
As you know I received the afore mentioned PM from Ellen this AM and forwarded it to you. She has in the past sent me hostile PM's as well as making on line attaks against me, simply because she was wrong about something and couldn't maintain her professional objectivity. It is truely a sad commentary on her professionalism. I suggest you report it to admin, I will be happy to support you in this, you might also wish to place a complaint with the approipriate licensing board for the states where she claims to pratice and/or professional organizations.

Here is the text of her PM to me this morning,

Unless this is defamation per se, you still have to establish damages. You don't mention any damages. Also, who in the heck is "panzertanker?" Are you worried that your alias used on a forum has had its reputation damaged? I don't think you'd get too far with that.

I would try to develop thicker skin and not worry so much about what some yahoo says about you on the internet.

That is my "moniker"
on this forum, however, she has sent not only PM to me, but to another on this forum, with out and out lies. My purpose is to decide if I should pursue at least sanctions against her on this forum.
Thanks Rhubarb
Todd

simply asking this question illustrates the lack of understanding you have of the legal theory of slander / libel.

In other words, grow up. you have nothing unless you actually want to prove that the allegations are false by posting your state license and credentials here to verify.

I understand that, that is why I have asked the question, I am not a lawyer.

BB, I HAVE posted my credentials.....
And I can/have proven that her statement is false.

"(a) “defamatory statement” is a substantially false statement that lowers
the esteem in which a natural or legal person is held in the community;"

"(c) “opinion” is a statement which either does not contain a factual
connotation which could be proved to be false or cannot reasonably be
interpreted as stating actual facts given all the circumstances, including
the language used, for example because it can be characterised as
rhetoric, hyperbole, satire or jest;"

He had already posted that info prior to starting this thread.

He has never claimed to be a MD on or off line. His scope of practice and license allows his true cliams and credentials.
