When I was 17 and embarking on my way to college my mom got an offer for a special credit card to pay for my college expenses. She decided to apply for the card. Being young and naive, I signed on as a cosigner at 17 thinking that this ment that I could us the card--not knowing I was under financial obligation. Well, now it appears that my mother has got way behind on payment of the card and it is in serious defult. I work but can't afford the $800 a month they want. Is there any way to get out of this mess, especially because I was not 18 when I signed for this and I signed as cosigner but was a minor.
