Signed the wrong spot

What is the name of your state? CA

Whats going on guys. Yesterday I recieved a ticket for rolling on a stop sign and when i looked at the ticket today i realized that when i signed it i wasnt paying to much attention and i signed it an inch or so above the designated box for the suspects signature(signature never touches the box). Does this void the ticket in any way?

No it does not.

No. It only means you signed in the wrong spot and the officer didn't want to spend another 6 to 10 minutes writing it out again.
