What is the name of your state? South Carolina

My friend just got a notice from a collection agency for a old utility (telephone) bill from when she lived in MICHIGAN. She thinks that this is time barred and I thought I'd check on here to find out from you fine folks what the SOL is on a utility bill in MICHIGAN.
