I live in Raleigh, North Carolina.
I just received a letter from my Home Owners Association stating that I owed them all dues starting from May 2000 to current at $99 per quarter. This is the very first bill/statement that I have received from them. They stated the lawyers failed to notified them of my purchase and now I owe them a little over $2000. How does the statue of limitations apply here? Is it only the last three years from the date of notice that I need to pay or what? Any help would greatly be apprecaited.
