Stupid Creditor Attorney Story

At the courthouse yesterday with two friends about to go to lunch. One of the friends (defendant attorney) was explaining to a Citiscum attorney (plaintiff attorney) that the just-continued lawsuit they were litigating was pretty much moot, since the defendant was declaring BK.

Citiscum: "Well, let them declare bankruptcy! We'll try the case anyway!"

We all looked at him blankly........

"...I don't let anybody abuse Citiscum! I'll collect from them after the bankruptcy!"

We then (gently) explained the concepts of "Automatic Stay" and ""Discharged Debt".

MORAL: This one defies a moral.......

I gotta ask . What did he say after you explained it to him?

I just gotta ask ... what's his number???? Because he may be uninformed, he's obviously at least willing to WORK, unlike the p.o.s. lawyer who was supposedly representing my interests as a creditor...

The Citiskank lawyer probably has no idea how completely and totally bulletproof bankruptcy makes NOT ONLY the "honest debtor" it's designed to protect, but also every scuzbag, scumsucking, deadbeat, lying-ASS piece of S--T who can pay the money to hire a paper-pushing BK lawyer...

He didn't say a thing..... he just kinda wandered off....which is what an attorney should do when they are in over their head. Shut up and go do some research.

I just wonder what kind of courses he took in lawyering school.....
