Yes...certain posters have reminded me that anyone can sue the hell out of anyone else for any reason - although if it is frivolus or malicious they could end up paying in the long run...assuming the other party has the $ or ability to defend themselves in legal proceedings.

There isn't much of a way to protect yourself, outside of learning all that you can about the laws regarding non-compete agreements in your state. You might be able to diffuse any potential frivolous lawsuit threat if you counter with ACCURATE legal banter. This sort of man isn't generally particualrly intelligent, but very very crafty.

I used to have a boss just like yours - they think the world is out to get them because they are out to pull a fast one on the rest of the world.
