What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

hello. I purchased a car via private seller through a loan at my bank. I'm upside down in the loan and I wouldn't be suprised if they tried to repo it.

Anyways, I never sent the bank the title / bill of sale, and ended up losing both before I registered the car.

I cant find the original owner to draft a new bill of sale.

Any advice? The car is broken down, but I am going to be going to CA to fix it and hopefully drive it home legally. If I have to, I will drive it without having it in my name, but I am obviously trying to avoid that.

My bank won't be much help considering I am avoiding them at the moment given my financial situations.

I just want to get a title for the car so I can register it and drive it back to Florida where I live, from California (where I was stationed in the Marines)

Hold on a second here, let me understand. You're screwing the bank that holds title to your car, you're upset because the financial institution you are screwing won't help you obtain title you lost, you want to drive the car across the country illegally (with not insurance either, I'm sure) and you want someone here to help you accomplish that:eek:

Well Mr. Marine, google unclean hands and then have the nerve to come back here again and ask.
