To answer your question, you have the right to file for unemployment benefits and start looking for a new job. Your termination was not illegal, even if it was unfair.

I have been with company 10-years. Only 2 write ups in that time (latest 02/2010). Just given new product line in January 2011 and told I had a year to make it happen. Today - 90 days later - I have been told my position is terminating in 2 weeks. This is NOT performance based. I have doubled expectations YTD for this product.
