Garrett, when you go to court, ask for a non-probation offer. Tell the PD, Prosecutor, Judge that you want to join the Marines & you can't be on probation.

Most Prosecutors will make a no-probation offer (it's their call, but the Judge will also put pressure on the Pros to cooperate.)

Some Pros & Judges (who hear this from so many people who don't mean it) will order probation & tell the defendant to come in with their recruiter, when he is ready to join, and the court will terminate probation at that time.
