But to answer your question, if the client contacts you, no, they probably don't have a case but that doesn't mean they won't try. Since your ex-employer has already involved their attorney and apparently suspects you of soliciting clients, you would be well-advised to spend $200 and consult an attorney of your own before proceeding.

Obtaining an expert legal opinion now (and perhaps having him/her send the employer a letter of your own) could save you many thousands later on in defending yourself against litigation.
