how close is too close for a business name? i have a flower shop with the name "country garden floral and gifts". someone is opening up another floral and gift shop just around the corner and is calling it "country blossom flowers, gifts and photography". this is a very small town, under 1500 people, and I do believe it will confuse and mislead. should i just change my name to "a country garden floral and gifts"? at least that way I would be listed first in the directories. i have not registered my trade name with the state, but I was a registered llc until last year when i dropped it. any advice would be great!
