In California would climbing over a locked gate and entering the pool area of an apartment complex fall under any of the subsections of PC 602.

A locked gate meaning a chain or deadbolt that a normal residential pool key will not unlock.

Thank you,

SenateWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

yes, if you tresspass you can be arrested and/or prosecuted for tresspassing. There could be other ordinances (local) or even other charges you could find yourself facing as well. Its best, as personnal policy, not to enter locked areas unauthorized.

Does anyone know which subsection of 602 this would fall under?

602.8 seems to apply but is only an infraction.

PC 602.8 might work ... the others would depend on the circumstances. If you were asked to leave but refused, then 602(l) could apply ... maybe 602(o). And, of course, the local municipal code might well be a misdemeanor and not an infraction so you could get jammed up by that one in addition to - or instead of - the Penal Code.

The bottom line is: Do not do it.
